Preheat the oven to 375.
Mix the flour, protein powder, baking powder, salt and cocoa powder in a bowl.
Add the wet ingredients - maple syrup, vanilla extract, greek yogurt, egg whites, unsweetened apple sauce - and stir until well combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Put the mixture into a muffin tray, making 10 regular sized muffins.
Bake for 15 minutes.
